Matthew Landry, Founder and Principal
Matt creates strategies and tactics that promote, differentiate and protect the brand reputations with the key audiences they need to influence, persuade and convert. He is a big picture thinker and confident leader who understands how to create and implement impactful solutions that are holistic, not incremental, aimed towards accomplishing a common set of goals and objectives.
Before relaunching The Second Row, Matt was the Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for Virtual, Inc., where he drove marketing communications strategy for more than 45 technology standards groups and industry association clients and managing a 20-person marketing communications team. Matt originally launched The Second Row in 2017, partnering with several clients on a variety of marketing, sales and public relations campaigns including Arity, a mobility data and analytics company founded by Allstate, iRobot and The MassMen Project, funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Suicide Prevention Program.
In 2003 Matt helped launch Matter Communications, now the largest public relations firm in New England, with founder and CEO Scott Signore. Matt began his public relations and communications career as an aide for Senator Edward Kennedy in Boston and holds a B.A. in Political Science from Boston College.
